When engaged in eCommerce, security is one of the most critical if not the single most critical concern for companies today. EzParts Electronic Parts Catalog Administration Portal provides you with total control over your catalog content and eCommerce access. Manufacturers can exercise resource level control over who access parts Catalog information.. Access and rights can be controlled at any group or sub-group level, by "security" attribute and even by user. Deny restrictions are inherited from parent groups automatically.
eCommerce order insert, delivery or transport method can be different for each user or defined based on user identity or user identity and origin.

EzParts Electronic Parts Catalog Web Server Application is data extraction capable. This means that Parts Availability along with additional manufacturer specific parts attributes including extended parts information can be extracted from any ODBC compliant data source or ERP system and displayed to Parts Catalog users.
EzParts Electronic Parts Catalog Web Server Application is order insert capable. This means that orders submitted using EzParts' eCommerce capabilities can be inserted directly into your ODBC complaint ERP system or delivered for processing using a wide variety of methods and data formats.
Systems Online's integration staff will work with manufacturers and their ERP system providers to provide ERP system integration for a fixed fee. This guarantees a fixed integration cost for our manufacturers.
eCommerce Flexibility
EzParts Electronic Parts Catalog Administration Portal provides the manufacturers IT staff with unprecedented control and flexibility. All eCommerce customizations, integration and business rules are maintained using EzParts Electronic Parts Catalog Administration Interface.
The EzParts Application has been designed from the ground up to allow manufacturers to customize their eCommerce according to their specific needs. Customization tasks can be performed by Systems Online's staff or by the manufacturer's IT staff. This provides the manufacturer with a level of control not found in other industry solutions. This is another way that EzParts Electronic Parts Catalog lowers your operating costs.
Customizations can include cart appearance, cart functionality, integration and extraction methods and data.
The eCommerce module also allows manufacturers to implement customer order history lookup. This option provides dealers and customers with data extracted real time from ODBC compliant ERP Systems. Data can include order header and detail information for both open and closed orders as well as pick details and shipment confirmations and other data.
Electronic Parts Catalog Order Types and eCommerce Business Rules
Multiple order types can be defined with rule sets that allow calculations, fees, line charges, ship to address and cart handling function overrides. Examples of cart checkout rules that have been applied by various manufacturers include the examples below:
- Manufacturer allows Emergency Orders to be shipped to any address via any carrier as the dealer will pay freight.
- Standard or Stock Orders may be shipped only to the pre-authorized shipping addresses via a limited number of freight carriers. Manufacturer pays freight.
- Expedited Stock Orders require a minimum sale amount or quantity of line items for processing.
- Standard Stock Orders greater a specific sale amount are eligible for shipment via "premium" freight carriers. Manufacturer pays freight.
Electronic Parts Catalog Part Ordering Rules
Part related ordering rules can be applied according to each manufacturer's specific requirement. Some examples of PARTS related rules include the examples below:
- Allow only parts currently active in the manufacturer's business system to be ordered.
- Allow only parts Availability in the manufacturer's business system to be ordered.
- Allow any part to be ordered. If the part number does not exist request a description of the part from the user. Do not insert these parts into the manufacturer's business system at the time of processing the order. At the time of processing send a notification with the list of invalid requested parts and descriptions to the Service Parts Manager for review and response.
- Automatically assign the fulfilment warehouse based on availability and user.
EzParts parts catalog provides optional confirmation emails at the time the data is stored in the cart and/or after order processing. A link to the cart order can be included in the notifications along with required text or processing results.
